Milestone Moment: Celebrating the Delivery of Our 2,700th Aircraft!

The 2,700th C-130 Hercules has been integrated into the international fleet, representing a remarkable milestone in tactical airlift. This iconic aircraft, a KC-130J Super Hercules, is now included in the U.S. Marine Corps Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 inventory stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.

Characterized by its unparalleled adaptability and established effectiveness, the C-130 Hercules operates within 70 countries, executing various missions at any time and place. The latest production variant — the C-130J Super Hercules — is authorized for 18 distinct mission roles, including aerial refueling with the KC-130J model.

“The Lockheed Martin team takes pride in delivering this landmark Super Hercules to the U.S. Marine Corps, where it will be part of the largest KC-130J fleet globally and enhance operational capability worldwide,” stated Rod McLean, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin’s Air Mobility & Maritime Missions sector. “This Hercules not only signifies the 2,700th C-130 delivered, but also illustrates the inherent mission versatility and performance agility that sustains the C-130’s continual significance.”
