GE Aerospace has secured a contract valued at up to USD 5 billion from the U.S. Air Force. The arrangement, designed as an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, will facilitate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the F110-GE-129 engine, which powers F-15 and F-16 aircraft utilized by allied nations around the globe.

The F110 engine has logged over 11 million flight hours and is acknowledged for providing the highest thrust in its category. Having achieved 40 years of ongoing production and technological enhancements, the engine continues to be a vital element in military aviation.

This contract highlights GE Aerospace’s enduring dedication to ensuring the operational readiness of U.S. Air Force allies. It guarantees the sustained availability of the F110 engine for international fleets, bolstering its reliability and effectiveness in military missions.
