Strengthening Amazon’s Communication: SIATT Teams Up with CENSIPAM for Enhanced Security
Brasília, Brazil, December 3, 2024 – SIATT, a Brazilian enterprise focused on intricate defense and communication systems, has today executed a Letter of Intent with the Operations and Management Center of the Amazonian Protection System (CENSIPAM). This agreement sets forth a collaborative alliance to investigate communication solutions aimed at guaranteeing secure and efficient communication for operational personnel in the Amazon area.
The Letter of Intent was executed by Rogério Salvador, on behalf of SIATT, and Rafael Pinto Costa, Director-General of CENSIPAM, during a formal event at SIATT’s exhibition space at the 8th BID Brasil Exhibition in Brasília.
This week, SIATT unveiled the Integrated Secure Communication System (SICS). Conceived in collaboration with Katim, a subsidiary of the EDGE Group, along with the Brazilian state-owned firm IMBEL, the SICS represents a groundbreaking technological innovation that merges cutting-edge technologies for data collection, distribution, and safeguarding. It guarantees encrypted and secure communication between field units and command centers, even in challenging and remote environments.
“The execution of this Letter of Intent signifies a crucial milestone in the advancement of technological solutions intended for the protection and security of Brazil’s vital regions. Our objective with the SICS is to deliver an efficient, resilient, and adaptable tool customized to the precise requirements of each public defense, security, and protection organization,” stated Rogério Salvador, CEO of SIATT.
CENSIPAM’s Director-General highlighted the necessity for a secure communication framework that is impervious to interception, operates through satellite systems, and functions dependably in harsh conditions, such as those present in the Amazon. “Currently, there is no off-the-shelf solution available, and by uniting the efforts of SIATT, the EDGE Group, and IMBEL, we aspire to create a technological solution to fill this gap, significantly enhancing Brazil’s ability to conduct missions in that area as effectively as possible,” remarked Rafael Pinto Costa.
