“ADSB and SIATT Collaborate to Revolutionize RABDAN FA-400 with Advanced MANSUP Missile Technology”
The EDGE Group organization ADSB, a local leader in the development, production, restoration, maintenance, refurbishment, and transformation of both military and commercial ships, has established a strategic partnership with SIATT, a Brazilian specialist in intelligent munitions and avant-garde defence technologies, in which EDGE holds a 50% stake. This collaboration formalizes the integration of the advanced MANSUP Surface-to-Surface Missile (SSM) launcher onto ADSB’s RABDAN FA-400 Fast Attack craft, equipping it with an accurate, long-range missile system designed for modern naval combat.
The agreement was signed by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, together with Paulo Salvador, Commercial Director of SIATT, at EURONAVAL 2024 in Paris, which will run until 8 November.
David Massey, CEO of ADSB, commented: “Our newly launched RABDAN FA-400, manufactured entirely in the UAE, illustrates our commitment to high-performance, national maritime solutions and emphasizes the significant synergy within EDGE enterprises. By incorporating SIATT’s cutting-edge MANSUP missile launcher, we are enhancing the vessel’s strike capabilities, offering a sophisticated and robust platform tailored to meet the evolving demands of modern defence.”
Paulo Salvador remarked: “This alliance represents a pivotal step for SIATT into the UAE’s expanding defence sector. Partnering with ADSB allows us to implement SIATT’s advanced missile systems onto a UAE-crafted vessel, reinforcing our commitment to elevate the UAE’s defence infrastructure. This collaboration underscores the significance we attribute to creating strong partnerships within the region, delivering innovative, high-performance solutions tailored to the strategic needs of our partners and the UAE marketplace, and marks a major milestone in SIATT’s international expansion.”
The RABDAN FA-400, equipped with the MANSUP missile system, will be showcased at the Naval Defence Exhibition & Conference (NAVDEX), set to occur at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 17-21 February 2025.
