ADSB Collaborates with LACROIX to Enhance RABDAN FA-400 with Cutting-Edge Decoy Technology
EDGE Group subsidiary Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a prominent leader in the design, fabrication, refurbishment, maintenance, retrofitting, and transformation of naval and commercial vessels, has formalized a strategic alliance with LACROIX, a premier French enterprise specializing in naval decoy systems and countermeasures. This collaboration aims to incorporate LACROIX’s cutting-edge decoy technology into ADSB’s newly introduced FA-400 Fast Attack vessel.
The partnership agreement was finalized by David Massey, CEO of ADSB, and François Moulinier, COO of LACROIX at the EURONAVAL 2024 Exhibition, ongoing in Paris until November 8.
David Massey, CEO of ADSB, expressed, “This collaboration with LACROIX empowers the RABDAN FA-400 – a 45-meter, custom-built patrol vessel engineered for speed and coastal defense duties – with established, high-tech decoy capabilities. This significantly boosts its defense potential, ensuring readiness for military operations, search and rescue missions, surveillance, and patrolling in contemporary maritime settings.”
François Moulinier, COO of LACROIX stated: “Partnering with ADSB on the FA-400 allows us to embed our sophisticated decoy systems into a new wave of patrol vessels, combining French innovation with UAE maritime proficiency. Our technology, successfully operational on over 30 vessels worldwide, provides enhanced safeguarding against various complex threats, thereby fortifying vessel defense capabilities on an international scale.”
The RABDAN FA-400, equipped with LACROIX’s superior decoy system, will be displayed at the Naval Defence Exhibition & Conference (NAVDEX), scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from February 17-21, 2025.
