“Transforming Naval Power: EDGE and Brazilian Navy Unite for Next-Gen Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile Development”

EDGE, a prominent entity in the global advanced technology and defense sector, along with the Brazilian Navy, has entered into a strategic alliance and collaboration agreement for the advancement of cutting-edge long-range anti-ship missiles. This agreement was formalized in the presence of Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, His Excellency Saleh Ahmad Alsuwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil, Mansour AlMulla, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, alongside various officials from the Brazilian Navy led by Fleet Admiral José Augusto Vieira da Cunha de Menezes, during an event commemorating the Brazilian Navy Day in Brasilia.

This agreement positions EDGE as a strategic collaborator with the Brazilian Navy by jointly investing in the advancement of long-range anti-ship missile technology, while also offering sophisticated solutions such as anti-jamming technologies developed by EDGE in the UAE. Additionally, the Brazilian Navy will leverage its fleet to facilitate a comprehensive testing program for the new missiles. This partnership highlights both parties’ shared goal of leading in innovation and opens avenues for export opportunities into significant global markets.

Fleet Admiral José Augusto Vieira da Cunha de Menezes of the Brazilian Navy stated: “In recent years, the Brazilian Navy has achieved remarkable progress in the advancement of the national surface anti-ship missile initiative (MANSUP), executing launches and overcoming technological challenges with support from the National Industry. Today, we mark another significant milestone as we blend the Brazilian Navy’s knowledge with EDGE’s technology, focusing collaboratively on research, development, and innovation to enhance the program along with the Force’s operational capabilities.”

Since 2019, EDGE has emerged as a key player in the global advanced technology and defense landscape. EDGE is dedicated to closely collaborating with global partners to bolster defense capability enhancement through the transfer of knowledge, skills, and technology, including initiatives in Latin America, where it recently announced the establishment of a regional office in Brasilia.
