
“Collins Aerospace Unveils Cutting-Edge ACES II Ejection Seats for the F-15EX Revolution”
Collins Aerospace, a division of RTX, has secured a contract from Boeing Defense to supply 144 ACES II® ejection seats for the U.S. Air Force’s F-15EX fleet.
“The F-15EX is the most sophisticated Eagle ever constructed, merging state-of-the-art technology with a validated airframe, which makes Collins’ ACES II ejection seat an ideal match for this aircraft,” stated Sharon Tabori, vice president and general manager of Integrated Mission Solutions at Collins Aerospace. “Our ACES series of ejection seats represent the safest alternative available due to the cutting-edge technologies we’ve integrated. Having it outfitted on the F-15EX will instill confidence in aircrew to successfully execute their most demanding missions, assured that their ejection seat will function when required.”
Collins’ Advanced Concept Ejection Seat, referred to as ACES, has preserved over 700 lives since 1978. Presently, there are 6,000 ACES II seats operational across 29 air forces globally, including the U.S. Air Force’s A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, B-1, and B-2 fleets, alongside all F-15s and F-16s worldwide.
