DroneShield Launches European Hub to Fuel Regional Expansion and Enhance Sovereign Counter-Drone Defense

DroneShield, a premier innovator in counter-drone technology and electronic warfare (EW) solutions, proudly announces the launch of its new European Headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The establishment of this strategic European Headquarters signifies DroneShield’s unwavering commitment to a rapidly expanding market. This enhanced operational presence aims to bolster support in EU and NATO-aligned nations, driving growth across the region.

The new Headquarters will function as the operational hub for DroneShield’s EU Centre of Excellence. This initiative aligns with the EU’s ReArm Europe Plan and the Readiness 2030 objectives, which advocate for increased military expenditure and enhanced industrial sovereignty while simultaneously supporting Ukraine. The Headquarters further complements DroneShield’s recent expansion in European manufacturing, reinforcing the region’s sovereign counter-UAS capabilities and showcasing the company’s dedication to increasing its industrial footprint.

Leading the European Headquarters is Louis Gamarra, recently promoted to Chief Commercial Officer. He will guide the enhancement of DroneShield’s commercial and operational strategies throughout Europe, emphasizing the growth of a dedicated in-region team. Currently, DroneShield’s European operations employ around a dozen multilingual professionals fluent in English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, and Scandinavian languages (Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian).

This specialized team will collaborate closely with DroneShield’s extensive network of European resellers while simultaneously expanding internal operational functions to improve customer service delivery. The new European headquarters is designed to ensure that clients receive cutting-edge solutions along with efficient support and deployment services.

Europe remains integral to DroneShield’s business development and sales strategy. In 2025, this region emerged as the Company’s top market, generating $98 million in revenue, which constituted 45 percent of total sales. As of February 2026, DroneShield boasts a regional pipeline valued at an impressive $1.2 billion. The ongoing geopolitical tensions, including the Iranian conflict and the war in Ukraine, coupled with persistent Russian drone threats, fuel the demand for advanced counter-UAS solutions in both Europe and the Middle East.

The Grand Opening event welcomed esteemed guests, including the newly appointed Dutch State Secretary for Defence, Mr. Derk Boswijk, and the Australian Ambassador to the Netherlands, His Excellency Dr. Greg French, emphasizing the strong collaborations fostering DroneShield’s progress in Europe.

“DroneShield’s investment in the Benelux region marks a pivotal point in our mission, empowering us to better support frontline users, procurement agencies, and industry partners throughout Europe,” stated Louis Gamarra, Chief of the European Headquarters. “With an increasing demand for counter-drone solutions, our new facility will enable us to deliver rapid, localized support to our EU partners. We take pride in investing in local talent and infrastructure to address the growing security challenges across Europe.”
