EDGE Group’s SIATT Unveils State-of-the-Art Headquarters and Manufacturing Hub in São José dos Campos, Brazil
EDGE Group entity SIATT, a company based in Brazil that focuses on the creation of intelligent systems for defense and security, has officially opened its new headquarters and manufacturing center in the city of São José dos Campos. The newly established facility covers 6,000 square meters and features cutting-edge engineering spaces, research and development labs, and production lines, enhancing SIATT’s capability to provide innovative defense technologies and representing a substantial growth in its industrial prowess.
Hamad Al Marar, the Managing Director & CEO of EDGE Group, along with EDGE’s senior executives, participated in the occasion during an extensive visit to Brazil. Brazilian officials, and key partners including the Vice-Governor of São Paulo, Felício Ramuth; Commander of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen; Marine Corps Commander, Carlos Chagas; and the Mayor of São José dos Campos, Anderson Farias, were in attendance.

This marks our initial investment in Brazil in 2023, and since then we have significantly expanded from a research and development facility to an impressive industrial complex. This illustrates SIATT’s dedication to enhancing Brazil’s technological self-sufficiency and generating lasting value for its defense sector. Together, we are establishing a foundation for innovation, economic expansion, and reliable partnerships.”
In September 2023, EDGE secured a 50% equity position in SIATT, bolstering its international strategy of investing in high-potential firms. Through collaboration with EDGE Group, SIATT has expedited its growth journey, improved its preparedness for exports, and established itself as a vital player in both Brazilian and international defense sectors. The new facility in São José dos Campos is expected to create 200 direct jobs along with an additional 600 indirect employment opportunities.
Founded in 2015, SIATT focuses on the creation and integration of defense and security systems, including missile technology, armaments, and sophisticated embedded technological solutions. Throughout the past decade, it has formed strategic alliances with the Armed Forces and industry stakeholders, contributing to projects of national importance and developing a highly specialized skill set.
Some of its prominent initiatives include the groundbreaking Mansup anti-ship missile, the high-range variant Mansup-ER, the advanced precision Max 1.2 AC anti-tank missile, and the Blue Amazon Management System (SisGAAz), a leading program for coastal surveillance and maritime security.
