
Embraer Secures Six A-29 Super Tucanos in Exciting New Deal with Mysterious Client
Embraer revealed today a confirmed request for six light attack and advanced training A-29 Super Tucanos commissioned by an undisclosed client. This acquisition will be integrated into the 4Q24 backlog, with deliveries slated for 2026.
These aircraft will feature enhanced capabilities to execute missions such as battlefield air interdiction, close air support, maritime patrol, maritime strike, and other national defense operations.

As a versatile multi-mission aircraft, the A-29 Super Tucano delivers air forces flexibility for armed reconnaissance, close air support, light assault, and advanced training missions on one platform, significantly enhancing the aircraft’s availability and operational adaptability. Its sturdy airframe enables the aircraft to operate from unpaved airstrips in rugged environments.
The A-29 Super Tucano is the leading aircraft in its class, boasting over 290 orders and exceeding 570,000 flight hours, including 60,000 in combat operations. In 2024, Embraer announced fresh acquisitions of the Super Tucano for the Portuguese Air Force (A-29N), the Uruguayan Air Force, and the Paraguayan Air Force.
