EOS Launches Cutting-Edge Laser Production Hub in Singapore

Electro Optic Systems Expands with New Facility in Singapore

Singapore | 6 February 2026 – Electro Optic Systems (EOS) has proudly inaugurated its latest facility in Singapore, marking a significant advancement in high-energy laser technology manufacturing, integration, and testing for both regional and international clients. This establishment underscores EOS’ dedication to the growth of Singapore’s defence science and technology landscape.

Strategically designed to serve partners and customers throughout Singapore and the wider region, the facility features dedicated spaces for system integration, development, demonstration, and sustainment activities. This expansion enhances EOS’ ability to deliver services at scale, fortifying supply chain resilience, and facilitating a quicker response to regional customer demands.

The new site will play a pivotal role in supporting EOS’ expanding portfolio of international high-energy laser contracts. Among these are a groundbreaking export order for a 100 kW-class laser weapon system destined for the Netherlands and a binding agreement with a client in the Republic of Korea for the manufacture and supply of another 100 kW-class laser system, furthering local partnerships for the Korean market. The Singapore facility is expected to underpin production and integration activities linked to these significant deals.

As drones evolve and are deployed in greater numbers, defence forces are actively seeking innovative solutions capable of countering intricate and overwhelming threats. EOS’ high-energy laser technology, including Apollo, is designed to seamlessly integrate into modern, layered air defence systems. It offers precise, scalable responses with a low cost per engagement, effectively limitless ammunition, and comprehensive directional coverage, including vertical engagement options.

“Our Singapore facility will serve as EOS’ centre of excellence for laser technology innovation, backing numerous international laser initiatives. With increasing demand, EOS anticipates future expansions to focus more on localized production and integration, aligning with customer needs for sovereignty and long-term control over capability development,” stated Andreas Schwer, Chief Executive Officer of EOS.
