GDIT Wins $143M Contract to Transform Naval Electronic Warfare Strategies
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a division of General Dynamics, revealed today that it has been granted a $143 million electronic warfare contract by the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD).
The single-award task order, presented in January by the Joint Electronic Attack Compatibility Office, encompasses a one-year base phase along with four additional one-year option phases.
Electronic Warfare (EW) empowers military personnel to disrupt or manipulate enemy communication and weapon systems. With the swift advancements in technology and the widespread adoption of contemporary radar and missile systems, the demand for sophisticated EW capabilities to safeguard critical military assets in future conflicts has grown increasingly crucial.
Through the contract, GDIT will provide support in engineering, logistics, intelligence analysis, and technology demonstrations, including low-cost, agile EW jammers capable of being deployed on various airborne platforms like aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
