HAVELSAN Marks Milestone in Naval Operations Integration Aboard TCG ANADOLU

HAVELSAN has triumphantly concluded the software integration efforts on board TCG ANADOLU, Turkey’s premier naval vessel. This integration is part of the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS) and the FleetStar Ship Data Distribution System (SDDS). Completing this task ahead of the Steadfast Dart 2026 Exercise has validated HAVELSAN’s network-centric command and control architecture on an essential naval platform.

The ADVENT CMS and FleetStar, developed by HAVELSAN, leverage the extensive operational insights of the Turkish Naval Forces. This advanced, network-enabled solution equips naval platforms with superior command and control, along with streamlined data management capabilities. By merging data from various sensors and platforms into a cohesive operational picture, it significantly boosts speed, coordination, and situational awareness during intricate naval operations.

During the integration phase, a successful bi-directional data exchange between ADVENT CMS and the Bayraktar TB3 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was confirmed. This capability allows for the immediate transfer of imagery and mission data from the UAV to the combat management system, effectively shortening decision-making processes in command and control scenarios. Additionally, the modular design of FleetStar facilitates the swift and secure inclusion of new platforms and capabilities into the system.

Thanks to the cutting-edge, network-centric architecture of ADVENT CMS, data from the Bayraktar TB3 is now accessible not just by TCG ANADOLU, but also shareable across other naval units within the task group. This innovative structure enhances inter-platform coordination and interoperability, allowing for a comprehensive command and control strategy in collaborative naval operations.

The ADVENT CMS, functioning as the pivotal command and control hub of a warship, seamlessly integrates radar, sonar, weapon systems, and electronic warfare components within a unified framework. Meanwhile, FleetStar acts as the “nervous system” of this setup by ensuring real-time, reliable, high-precision data distribution among all pertinent subsystems. As part of the integration aboard TCG ANADOLU, the ADVENT CMS also tracks the relative position and approach geometry of the UAV in real time, contributing to a safe and well-coordinated operational environment.
