
Indra Group Teams Up with Leonardo to Bolster Cyber Defense Innovations
Indra Group and Leonardo Strengthen Cyber Defence Cooperation
Indra Group and Leonardo have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing their collaboration in cyber defence. The partnership seeks to identify and extend their international footprint within Europe, NATO, and other high-potential markets.
The agreement was formalized today at Leonardo’s headquarters in Rome, Italy, by Indra Group CEO José Vicente de los Mozos and Roberto Cingolani, CEO and General Manager of Leonardo.
This strategic collaboration will bolster their innovative capabilities, enhancing the cyber defence of institutions and critical infrastructures. They plan to deliver advanced solutions, specialized training, and a coordinated response to increasingly complex cyber threats.
Moreover, the agreement includes the joint provision of managed cyber defence services for both public and private clients.
Ángel Escribano, Indra’s Executive Chairman, emphasized that such agreements aim to foster European industrial cooperation with transparent governance. He stated, “Our pioneering role enables us to activate value chains based on sovereign, open, and interoperable capabilities for Europe and NATO. This ensures critical knowledge and technological assets remain under EU control. With interconnected operations centers and advanced threat intelligence sharing, we can transform collaboration into strategic autonomy and effective deterrence.”
José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Group, elaborated that “this partnership with Leonardo accelerates our innovation efforts, launching solutions that enhance digital resilience in systems and operations. This is a pivotal step toward reinforcing European leadership in cyber defence and extending our reach to assist other nations in addressing cyberspace challenges.”
