Iraq and BAE Systems Explore Groundbreaking Partnerships in Defence and Cybersecurity

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, praised BAE Systems for their endeavor to set up arms production lines and deliver cybersecurity solutions in collaboration with Iraq’s Defense Industries Commission (DIC).

Al-Sudani’s remarks were made during a conference with a BAE Systems team led by CEO Charles Woodburn, as reported by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

This assembly was a segment of Al-Sudani’s two-day official tour to the UK, where he also engaged with King Charles III and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. His agenda encompasses dialogues with senior British officials and stakeholders from various sectors.

The discussions underscored BAE Systems’ proficiency in defense industries, notably in advanced arms production and cybersecurity innovations.

The Iraqi Prime Minister reiterated the administration’s dedication to outfitting Iraq’s security forces with cutting-edge weaponry sourced from a multitude of origins. He also highlighted that the DIC’s regulatory framework fosters technological partnerships and encourages collaborations with specialized global firms.
