Rome 25 September 2025 – The Defence Ministry of Kuwait has opted to activate an in-service support extension option for the Kuwait Air Force’s Eurofighter aircraft fleet program for which Leonardo serves as the prime contractor. Under this new service agreement, integrated Logistics Support and Training will be provided locally by Leonardo Aviation Services at Salem Al Sabah Base until December 2029. This most recent accomplishment signifies an additional strengthening of the strategic alliance between Leonardo and Kuwait.
Kuwait secured 28 Eurofighter Typhoons in 2016 to enhance the nation’s air defense framework. Deliveries of the aircraft to the Kuwait Air Force commenced at the close of 2021, and the majority of the ordered aircraft have been delivered and are currently operational. The aircraft, produced in Italy, incorporate the most advanced manufacturing standard available today.
