L3Harris Elevates Canadian Law Enforcement Aerial Intelligence with Cutting-Edge WESCAM MX-10 Sensors
L3Harris Technologies has been chosen to deliver its next-generation WESCAM MX-10 electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor systems to Airbus Helicopters Canada. These innovative systems will be deployed to bolster aerial assistance for various police departments throughout Canada.
The WESCAM MX-10 encompasses high-resolution infrared sensors and sophisticated video tracking, facilitating accurate surveillance and public safety oversight. It will be incorporated into Airbus H125 helicopters to support frontline patrols, addressing issues like vehicle theft, street racing, and other security challenges.

L3Harris’ WESCAM MX-Series EO/IR systems are crafted for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and target acquisition operations across aerial, terrestrial, and maritime platforms. Earlier in 2024, the firm announced a contract to provide WESCAM MX-15D systems to Airbus Helicopters for the German military’s H145M multi-role helicopter fleet.
