This strategic acquisition will bolster Leonardo’s position in the UK and Five Eyes cyber defense domains, reinforcing its collaboration with the UK Government and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to protect the nation’s most sensitive environments. Furthermore, this initiative complements Leonardo’s delivery of next-generation cyber solutions across Italy, NATO, and the broader European defense landscape.
This acquisition represents a pivotal step in Leonardo’s commitment to advancing its Zero Trust cybersecurity solutions, integrating Becrypt’s innovative technologies in secure data transfer, endpoint security, and cloud protection. The move aligns with Leonardo’s ongoing industrial strategy of enhancing cybersecurity through previous partnerships and acquisitions in Europe, including notable firms such as Axiomatics, SSH Communication, and Arbit.

It reinforces our commitment to the UK as a key market in expanding our international presence. By incorporating Zero Trust capabilities, we are swiftly enhancing our cybersecurity domain, essential for safeguarding sensitive data and critical infrastructures against evolving threats. Cybersecurity is central to Leonardo’s strategy, playing a vital role in our multi-domain solution development.”

This partnership will expedite the evolution of our secure platforms, ensuring the critical sectors we serve are equipped with the advanced tools necessary for maintaining information supremacy and digital security.”
The deal’s finalization is subject to regulatory approvals and is anticipated by Q2 2026. Leonardo has enlisted PwC as its financial advisor and GOP as its legal counsel throughout this process.
