Lockheed Martin Unveils New Leadership Role for Daniel Mouton

Daniel Mouton has been appointed as the Vice President and Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin Middle East, operating from Abu Dhabi. He is set to transition into this pivotal role over the coming weeks, officially taking on full responsibilities starting January 1, 2026. Mouton will replace John “Mick” Nicholson, who has effectively led the company in critical markets since January 2022.

Mouton will play a vital role within the International Business Development team at Lockheed Martin, overseeing operations across the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Pakistan. His extensive experience includes senior roles at Northrop Grumman, where he served as Senior Director for U.S. Executive Branch Government Relations and Director of International Growth.

In the earlier stages of his career, Mouton contributed to the U.S. National Security Council on political-military policies concerning the Middle East and North Africa, along with assignments at the Pentagon, within the U.S. military, and various embassies in the region. He holds degrees from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Princeton University’s Department of Near Eastern Studies, and the U.S. Army War College, where he focused on Advanced Strategic Arts. Notably, Mouton is also a graduate of the Defense Language Institute, specializing in Arabic.

Joseph Rank will maintain his position as Vice President and Chief Executive for Saudi Arabia and Africa, leading Lockheed Martin’s initiatives in the Kingdom and overseeing the Regional Headquarters in Riyadh, which supports partnerships across the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

For over sixty years, Lockheed Martin has established a strong presence in the region, providing state-of-the-art defense solutions, fostering industrial cooperation, and promoting workforce development.
