NAMI and Lockheed Martin Collaborate to Revolutionize 3D Printing!
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Sept. 11, 2025 – The National Additive Manufacturing and Innovation Company (NAMI), a collaborative venture between Dussur and 3D Systems, along with Lockheed Martin, have established a partnership to collaborate on a project focused on qualifying and additively producing critical military and aerospace components within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
NAMI is poised to commence the manufacturing of additively produced aluminum qualification components that will undergo extensive testing to ensure adherence to industry benchmarks. The components created by NAMI are expected to be employed throughout the global aerospace and defense industries, thus strengthening Lockheed Martin’s rigorous supply chain framework.
“NAMI is committed to nurturing Saudi Arabia’s industrial growth by enhancing supply chain resilience and meeting the rising demand for additive manufacturing solutions,” expressed Eng. Mohammed Swaidan, CEO of NAMI. ”As a collaborative effort between 3D Systems and Dussur, we leverage state-of-the-art technologies and exceptional proficiency in additive production to promote Saudi Vision 2030 through localization and the transfer of industrial knowledge. We take pride in our remarkable partnership with Lockheed Martin and firmly believe that additive manufacturing will serve as a vital cornerstone in shaping the future of industry in the Kingdom, boosting its competitiveness on both regional and global levels.”
The localization of operations within the Kingdom aligns with the objectives set forth in Saudi Vision 2030 to develop and localize military industries in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom will derive advantages from these strategies through qualitative international defense partnerships with Lockheed Martin and other prominent original equipment manufacturers, aiming for shared benefits for all stakeholders involved.
“Lockheed Martin is dedicated to supporting the progress of the defense sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States,” noted Brig. Gen. Joseph Rank (U.S Army, Ret.), chief executive for Lockheed Martin in Saudi Arabia and Africa. “Our collaboration with NAMI marks a significant achievement in our localization ambitions, and we are delighted to unite in enhancing the Kingdom’s additive manufacturing capabilities while fostering job creation and economic development in both nations.”
