Strategic Partnership for Advanced Maritime Solutions
Piloda Defence, HAVELSAN, and VN Maritime have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at revolutionizing the development, integration, and commercialization of unmanned and hybrid maritime platforms specifically for the Italian market. This collaboration embodies a forward-thinking vision to provide state-of-the-art naval solutions that meet the operational demands of the Mediterranean region.
As part of this strategic alliance, Piloda Defence and VN Maritime are designated as HAVELSAN’s exclusive representatives and industrial partners for all Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) initiatives in Italy. This paves the way for effective communication with Italian defense authorities, coast guard units, public institutions, and private sector stakeholders regarding USV opportunities, all managed through the VN Maritime – Piloda partnership framework.
High-Technology Collaboration Between Türkiye and Italy
HAVELSAN will bring cutting-edge defense technologies into the partnership, which include autonomous control systems, mission management software, AI-driven perception capabilities, and secure communication architectures.
VN Maritime Technologies will serve as the primary contractor for platform architecture, leveraging its expertise in high-performance maritime platform design, hybrid operational strategies, and system integration capabilities.
Piloda Shipyard, through Piloda Defence, will oversee local industrial participation in Italy, encompassing shipyard infrastructure, production operations, testing and sea trials, acceptance processes, and lifecycle support services.
This integrated approach enables the seamless manufacturing and integration of platforms, deployment of autonomous systems, sea trials, demonstration activities, and comprehensive maintenance, support, and logistics—all conducted in Italy with significant local industrial engagement.
