Kongsberg, Diehl, and MBDA Deutschland Unite for Revolutionary Super Sonic Strike Missile Project: Introducing the 3SM Tyrfing!
Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (“KONGSBERG”), in collaboration with its German associates Diehl and MBDA Deutschland, have joined forces to guarantee the successful advancement of the forthcoming Norwegian and German super-sonic strike missile termed 3SM Tyrfing.
The Norwegian government revealed this initiative in November 2023, and the industrial consortium crucial for the success of this venture has now formalized their collaboration agreement.
This alliance, spearheaded by KONGSBERG, merges the expertise of these firms and leverages decades of missile innovation history to construct this sophisticated, long-range, agile super-sonic strike missile for both Norwegian and German clients along with Allied partners in the future.
The group will collaborate closely with the Norwegian and German Armed Forces and their national research institutions to outline and create the world’s most advanced long-range strike capability tailored to address future surface threats.
