Victory in the Skies: Unleashing the SİPER Long-Range Air and Missile Defense System

Türkiye has successfully completed the acceptance test for the battery delivery of SİPER 1, the nation’s advanced long-range area air and missile defense system. This system operates within a distributed architecture under the Steel Dome air defense concept and was rigorously tested at the Sinop Test Center in northern Türkiye.
The test scenario was challenging, featuring both friendly and hostile aircraft in the airspace, allowing for a genuine assessment of the system’s capabilities under real-world conditions. This successful firing marks the conclusion of acceptance activities for the SİPER 1 battery, which includes key elements such as the Fire Control Center, Fire Control Radar, Missile Launching System, and the Missile itself.
With its remarkable range, precision, and sophisticated system architecture, SİPER 1 is a vital component of Türkiye’s integrated air and missile defense strategy. Notably, the battery-level firing was conducted without utilizing the Fleet Control Center and the Search Radar, successfully showcasing ASELSAN’s advanced radar technologies and command control capabilities. The operational maturity and long-range interception abilities of the system were emphatically confirmed during these tests.
