VITEC Unveils Groundbreaking ISR Streaming Innovations at IDEX 2025
VITEC, a pioneer in the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) technology sector, will present its cutting-edge streaming innovations at IDEX 2025, taking place at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 17-21 February 2025. Within the UAE Pavilion at booth 01-B03, VITEC will feature its state-of-the-art and adaptable rugged TOUGH encoder series designed for video capture in extreme conditions, alongside the latest MGW Diamond-H, a 4K & Dual-Channel SD/HD HDMI Encoder. EZ TV ISR – VITEC’s video content management platform crafted for swift deployment in the field – will also be exhibited.
“VITEC is dedicated to providing dependable, high-performance ISR video streaming solutions specifically designed for the most demanding military scenarios,” states Fadi Jumaa, Business Development Director – ME at VITEC. “Our encoders thrive in rigorous environments while delivering outstanding video quality at minimal bitrates, crucial for bandwidth-sensitive operations. This guarantees that mission-essential data is transmitted securely and dependably, facilitating informed decision-making and rapid responses.”

Making its debut at IDEX, the MGW Diamond-H streams Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) video feeds via RF or satellite connections, offering real-time situational awareness and improving tactical decision-making. The screen sharing features of MGW Diamond-H facilitate smooth collaboration and coordination among team members, enabling the sharing of mission-critical data instantaneously. With stream protection technologies such as Zixi™, SRT, RIST, and Pro-MPEG, it ensures secure and reliable data transmission, preserving operational integrity. Furthermore, its Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability streamlines deployment by supplying power and data through a single Ethernet cable, minimizing the requirement for extra power sources—ideal for rapid, adaptable installations in dynamic field settings.

Also presented at the VITEC booth will be the MGW Pico+ TOUGH, a compact and energy-efficient video encoder suitable for unmanned and manned vehicles in various environments including land, sea, and air. It boasts an ultra-compact, airborne, and marine-certified housing designed to perform in all weather conditions. The encoder guarantees top-notch video quality at low bitrates, offers overlay features for timestamping and camera identification, and can flexibly adjust its bitrate according to the available bandwidth. Weighing under 400g, it is the smallest and most energy-efficient HEVC and H.264 HD/SD video encoder available in the market.
Another variant in the TOUGH series is the MGW Diamond TOUGH, a quad-channel HEVC and H.264 HD/SD encoder. It offers multi-channel low-latency streaming with High Dynamic Range (HDR) for remarkable video contrast and brightness. The HEVC (H.265) compression technology minimizes network bandwidth utilization by up to 50% compared to H.264 standards.
Completing VITEC’s offerings is the EZ TV ISR, a fully integrated tactical IPTV system. Users can process, archive, index, manage, and share tactical video and metadata content. Its secure and reliable framework satisfies information assurance and cybersecurity criteria, fostering the swift exploitation and processing of live and recorded video assets. EZ TV ISR can be quickly implemented in the field or at a secure location to function as the central hub for managing live and tactical video streams.
