EDGE Group Unveils Ambitious Growth Plans for SIATT Production Facility in São Paulo
Following the acquisition of a 50% interest in the Brazilian smart munitions and advanced systems expert, SIATT, the UAE’s EDGE Group, a prominent player in global advanced technology and defense sectors, has revealed significant advancements in the expansion of the firm over the upcoming two years.
Backed by EDGE, SIATT is set to broaden its headquarters and manufacturing operations in São José dos Campos, within the State of São Paulo, scaling from 1,000 square meters to nearly 7,000 square meters. This enhancement will accommodate new administrative and engineering offices, alongside laboratories and production facilities. Furthermore, the workforce is set to double to 200 highly-skilled full-time employees. Additionally, projections suggest an indirect creation of over 600 additional positions, including collaborations with top-tier technology partners and suppliers, bolstering the development of the local talent pool and substantially impacting the regional economy.
Prior to SIATT’s acquisition in September 2023, EDGE Group entered into a co-development contract with the Brazilian Navy for state-of-the-art long-range anti-ship missile technology, as part of the MANSUP national anti-ship missile initiative, for which SIATT is responsible for the guidance, navigation, control, and telemetry systems.

This announcement was made during a prominent delegation visit by senior officials from the São Paulo State Government to EDGE Group’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The four-day agenda encompasses a series of discussions with EDGE Group leadership and other key stakeholders in Abu Dhabi, aimed at fostering potential strategic collaborations and strengthening partnerships.
