Milrem Robotics Sets Global Footprints: Launching New Office in Abu Dhabi
EDGE organization, Milrem Robotics, a global frontrunner in robotics and autonomous systems development, proclaims the inauguration of its office in Abu Dhabi, strategically situated to assist local clients and leverage the expanding technological landscape of the region.
The new establishment in Abu Dhabi will act as a hub of expertise in the UAE, providing a prime location for R&D, product innovation, and strategic alliances with governmental bodies, educational institutions, and local enterprises. It will also spearhead the execution of the company’s contract with the UAE Ministry of Defence, aimed at delivering tracked robotic combat vehicles (RCVs) and THeMIS unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) to the armed forces. The pact, finalized in January 2024, signifies the world’s largest initiative in combat robotics.
Milrem Robotics will conduct an experimentation and trial initiative focused on integrating unmanned ground assets into the arsenal of the UAE Armed Forces. This endeavor marks a pivotal step towards enhancing the combat proficiency of the Armed Forces by deploying THeMIS UGVs and tracked RCVs outfitted with cutting-edge autonomous capabilities, external payloads, and reliable communication solutions.
