Partnership Unveiled: SIATT and Brazilian Navy Join Forces for MANSUP Tech Collaboration

SIATT and the Brazilian Navy, via the Navy’s Directorate of Weapons Systems, have finalized a pact for the exchange of technology pertinent to the MANSUP (National Surface-to-Surface Anti-Ship Missile) weaponry system. This agreement permits the firm, upon remittance of royalties, to utilize, manufacture, promote, and offer services, both nationally and internationally, for technologies associated with MANSUP.

The agreement was formalized in March during a ceremony hosted at the auditorium of the Technological Innovation Park in São José dos Campos, where SIATT is based.

The gathering witnessed the presence of Admiral Edgar Luiz Siqueira Barbosa, General Director of Naval Material, Vice-Admiral Rodrigo Otavio Fernandes de Hônkis, Consultant for Defense Material Industries Affairs, and Rear Admiral Carlos Henrique Lima Zampieri, Director of Weapons Systems of the Navy (DSAM). Also in attendance were Azhaury Cunha Filho, the Chairman of the Board, along with Rogerio Salvador, the CEO of SIATT, and Marcos Degaut, the CEO of EDGE Brasil.

The SIATT team that contributed to the development of MANSUP was also present at the event.

During the ceremony, Rear Admiral Zampieri underscored the significance of this agreement for the MANSUP initiative.

“This key landmark today will guarantee the necessary flow of activities and resources required for the successful conclusion of the MANSUP missile initiative. This comprehensive endeavor will promptly ensure the development of the extended-range MANSUP, which will facilitate an even more considerable technological advancement in the defense and safeguarding capacity of our Blue Amazon,” stated the DSAM director.

Rear Admiral Zampieri concluded his address by expressing gratitude towards the SIATT team. “At this juncture, I wish to extend my thanks, not only as a matter of duty but out of heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in the MANSUP project: you brave, skilled, and relentless Brazilians, who have surmounted the innovation challenge through dedication and helped transform this distant dream into a reality.”

Admiral Edgar further commended the commitment of the professionals engaged in the MANSUP project. “It’s heartening to witness this auditorium filled with numerous SIATT employees, celebrating this critical moment—the accomplishments that have materialized, the numerous milestones achieved, and the challenges that have been overcome throughout the years. We owe gratitude to SIATT, alongside EDGE Group, who have had faith in this venture, as well as Fundação Ezute and Omnisys. It is a historic and immensely gratifying moment. Congratulations to everyone for this success, and let us continue collaborating and making our dreams a reality,” remarked the Director-General.

SIATT CEO Rogerio Salvador, visibly touched, reflected on the entire journey of the MANSUP project and articulated five emotions that, for him, encapsulate the essence of that ceremony: gratitude, resilience, accomplishment, trust, and happiness. “This is not the endeavor of a single individual, but rather a collective effort of a hundred contributors from all walks of life—from the Navy, the operators, the participating firms, and SIATT. It is a collaborative creation of many brilliant minds who have dedicated their skills, talents, and hearts to this project,” emphasized Salvador.
