HAVELSAN BARKAN UNLEASHES POWERFUL NEW FEATURES WITH INNOVATIVE INTEGRATIONS
HAVELSAN’s Unmanned Ground Vehicles constitute essential elements of the Digital Troops family. They are available in a variety of sizes and configurations tailored to meet the diverse requirements of the armed forces. One notable example from the UGV systems, HAVELSAN BARKAN, has been meticulously crafted to cater to the preferences and specifications of its end users, specifically the Turkish military and allied nations’ armed forces.
HAVELSAN BARKAN features a framework that allows for seamless integration with various weaponry.
HAVELSAN BARKAN aspires to be a crucial asset for the armed forces across numerous domains, playing a pivotal role in operational success. A fundamental aim of BARKAN is to mitigate casualties and lower operational expenses.
So far, the 7.62-millimeter Sarp-L Remote Controlled Stabilized Weapon System, a robotic arm mechanism, and a 3-meter mast system for reconnaissance and surveillance tasks have been incorporated into HAVELSAN BARKAN to fulfill the anticipated responsibilities.
As HAVELSAN continues to enhance BARKAN, ongoing tests are being conducted to incorporate additional weapon systems into the UGV.
Recently, ROKETSAN’s Laser Guided Mini Missile System METE was successfully integrated into HAVELSAN BARKAN, which completed a successful test fire. During this missile firing test, HAVELSAN BARKAN effectively struck the intended target. The Laser Guided Mini Missile METE-equipped version of BARKAN is designated as BARKAN W41. The missile launch test was carried out in Konya, Karapınar.
