AM General Partners with Egyptian Military Production for a Revolutionary Automotive Alliance
AM General, an internationally recognized provider of military-grade tactical vehicles and mobility solutions, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production (MoMP) to advance Egypt’s efforts in establishing its indigenous military automobile sector. This strategic alliance will implement a stepwise methodology to explore how AM General can work alongside the MoMP to design and manufacture tactical vehicles domestically.
“Today’s signing event further strengthens our enduring partnership with the Egyptian government,” stated Andy Hove, President and CEO of AM General. “We are eager to leverage our manufacturing and design capabilities to foster the growth of the Egyptian automotive sector.”
This partnership aims to facilitate the establishment of a domestic military automobile sector in Egypt. Collaborating closely with the MoMP, the company will evaluate the feasibility of creating local assembly and manufacturing capabilities, enabling the MoMP to supplement or replace its current HUMVEE fleet. This evaluation will culminate in a comprehensive plan to progress with the partnership agreement.
