Rheinmetall Secures Major Multi-Million Euro Contract to Deliver Artillery Ammunition to European Client
Rheinmetall has secured a contract to provide a European client with artillery ordnance. This agreement is valued in the mid-double-digit million-euro range.
The shipment of the ordnance is scheduled for 2023 and 2024.
This contract is part of a recent wave of ordnance orders for infantry combat vehicles and main battle tanks. The latest acquisition further highlights Rheinmetall’s proficiency in producing munitions for defense customers.
Additionally, the Group possesses the capability to supply substantial quantities of munitions on short notice.
The Düsseldorf-based technology firm ranks among the globe’s leading manufacturers of weaponry and ammunition systems.
Its product range encompasses medium-caliber munitions for infantry combat vehicles and air defense systems, as well as tank shells, artillery shells, and advanced laser technologies.
Rheinmetall is currently constructing a new manufacturing facility for 35mm medium-caliber munitions at its Unterluess location in Lower Saxony, allowing it to respond effectively to the rising demand for air defense munitions starting in the summer of 2023.
