A crucial ally of the French Army, with over 25,000 vehicles actively deployed, ARQUUS was showcasing at the Journée de l’Arme Blindée Cavalerie (Armor and Cavalry Day), held in Satory on October 7th, 2019. ARQUUS unveiled its VBL Ultima, an upgraded version of the VBL, currently under development, alongside its T1 and T2 remote-operated weapon systems, created as part of the Scorpion initiative, as well as cutting-edge solutions for energy management and automation.
Tracing its lineage to the present, ARQUUS’ saga has always been intertwined with that of the cavalry. From the AMD to the AML, from the EBR to the VBL, ARQUUS’ armored solutions are built on unparalleled expertise in protection and maneuverability, honed over a century by visionary engineers and artisans, in conjunction with military strategists based on the requirements of the Army.
Firmly committed to supporting the Army in its numerous transformations, as well as anticipating and contributing to discussions regarding the future of land warfare, ARQUUS has developed an extensive range of vehicles on its own resources, some of which, like the ERC-90 Sagaie, have been chosen by the armed forces and have upheld their service for decades.
Highly valued by the Army and selected by numerous other governmental forces worldwide, ARQUUS’ reconnaissance and light cavalry vehicles have engaged in all conflicts across various theaters of operations. ARQUUS strengthens these bonds with cavalry through the Griffon and Jaguar vehicles of the Scorpion program, which have been designed and developed in collaboration with Nexter and Thales.
ARQUUS’ narrative seamlessly integrates with the legend of these iconic armored vehicles. Combat-proven daily, and acknowledged internationally, they are inseparable from the Army’s global operations. This narrative is also driven by a continuous commitment to support the cavalry throughout all its transitions and to fulfill the operational requirements of the Arme Blindée Cavalerie (French Armor and Cavalry) in an ever-evolving environment, marked by advancements and new adversities.
To effectively address the demands of the armed forces, ARQUUS aims to enhance and modernize its vehicles, fine-tuning their operational capabilities, tactical effectiveness, autonomy, and soldiers’ resilience in the field.
To showcase its dedication to supporting the forces throughout their vehicles’ lifecycles, ARQUUS introduced a VBL Ultima. The result of a modernization initiative for the VBL (Véhicule Blindé Léger, Light Armored Vehicle), in anticipation of the VBAE (Véhicule Blindé d’Aide à l’Engagement, Armored Vehicle for Engagement Support) initiative, this next-gen VBL is designed for compatibility with the vehicles of the Scorpion program across all operational landscapes.
During Cavalry Day, ARQUUS also exhibited the T1 and T2 remote-operated weapon systems, essential components of the Scorpion project. These RCWS, which promise to equip the Griffon by 2019 and the Jaguar in 2021, utilize state-of-the-art technologies and extensive connectivity with the vetronics, adeptly positioning them at the core of collaborative combat.
Completely produced in France, the T1 and T2 represent the initial elements of a strategic small-caliber sector, primed to support and facilitate the Army’s transformation.
ARQUUS dedicates all its vigor and experience to envisioning and constructing the cavalry of the future. In 2017, the company initiated the development of the Scarabee, ARQUUS’ interpretation of the future reconnaissance and scouting vehicle, utilizing its own resources. Built upon the experiences of its predecessors and the company’s expertise in military innovation management, the Scarabee exemplifies the company’s ambition to collaboratively design the future cavalry alongside the Army.
