Dynamic Targeting: Engaging Enemies On the Move in All Missions
Patria Nemo stands as a preeminent force in the global market for contemporary mortar systems, showcasing its cutting-edge features. Up to this point, Patria has successfully completed the validation of its fire-on-the-move capability for land-based units in both direct and indirect firing operations. This remarkable enhancement permits troops to maintain continuous mobility during fire exercises, consequently avoiding becoming an obvious target for counter-battery strikes. With the fire-on-the-move feature, identifying a target, aiming, and initiating fire occurs significantly quicker and more effectively without interruptions in the mission. Patria Nemo represents a true revolution on the battlefield.
As a turret-mounted, lightweight, and remote-operated 120 mm mortar system designed for exceptional mobility, protection, and precision, Patria Nemo excels in both direct and indirect firing roles. A distinctive aspect that elevates the Patria Nemo mortar system is its advanced fire-on-the-move capability. “Patria initially engineered the fire-on-the-move feature for the Patria Nemo Navy model several years ago. However, in response to heightened customer demands and evolving battlefield scenarios, the development has progressed considerably,” articulates Kari Reunamäki, Vice President of the weapon systems division.
Weighing in at 1,900 kg, the Patria Nemo mortar system boasts a comprehensive 360º traverse along with weapon elevation ranging from -3 to 85 degrees. Depending on the specific platform, vehicles outfitted with the Patria Nemo can accommodate 50-60 rounds of 120 mm munitions. Patria Nemo unlocks the complete capabilities of modern mortar systems, showcasing versatility on both land and sea, operational functionality while on the move, and an elevated level of defense and firepower.
