COHEMO Takes Aim: A Dive into the ‘Long Precision 21’ Training at CENAD’s Range
The “Long Precision 21” training operation transpired from 19th to 22nd April. It was founded on a precision event at the “Centro Nacional de Adiestramiento” (CENAD) in San Gregorio (Zaragoza), which features exceptional sharpshooters of both national and global stature, with COHEMO collaborating on this occasion.
Annually, this event unites elite marksmen from various Security Forces and Military Corps, alongside delegates from different nations.
The exercise witnessed participation from professional individuals across diverse military units. Representing the Spanish Army were the following divisions: San Marcial, Castillejos, MCANA, and Royal Guard. Additionally, the Navy, Air Force, Police, and Guardia Civil were involved in the exercise. Regarding international attendees, officials from the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and Portugal were also present.
The “Compañía de Reconocimiento Avanzado” (CRAV), a unit under BRIPAC, was tasked with leading and orchestrating the operation. This unit boasts a group of highly skilled precision shooters. Notably, General Sáez (BRIPAC) attended the exercise.
For the effective execution of this operation, COHEMO, in collaboration with its partner Marathon, offered cutting-edge technology for the optimal training of various Army and Security Forces members. The mobile shooting targets supplied by both companies consist of autonomous, human-like robots embedded with Artificial Intelligence that “think” independently and act like individuals on the battlefield. These robots can respond to distinct impacts, as they are engineered to function with live ammunition, executing lateral movements and alternating speeds.
The ‘Long Precision 21’ operation commenced the previous week at the precision shooting range in Uceda (Guadalajara), where the shooting target systems devised by COHEMO were employed.
COHEMO, a Spanish organization situated in Móstoles (Madrid), recognizes the significance of proper training for the State Security Forces, which is why it remains committed to delivering top-notch service and the latest advancements in technology.
