“France Sets Sights on Egyptian Armor: A Strategic Acquisition”

Initiatives to improve the capabilities of the French military in peacekeeping efforts persist, as France has recently revealed the acquisition of 16 Egyptian-manufactured “Fahd 4×4” armored transports.

These transports will be deployed alongside the French troops involved in peacekeeping missions.

The Egyptian armored transports sold to France have been altered and upgraded to comply with the stipulated combat standards, showcasing France’s dedication to equipping its military forces with cutting-edge military technologies and equipment.

Simultaneously, the production of the “Fahd 300” model has experienced significant success, receiving increased orders for these armored vehicles from various African nations. Burkina Faso and Burundi have recently confirmed their addition to the roster of customers and operators of the Egyptian “Fahd 4×4” armored transport, as reported by Egyptian blogger Mahmoud Gamal on his social media channel.

This rising demand for domestically produced Egyptian armored transports illustrates the trust these vehicles have in both regional and international markets. It bolsters Egypt’s status as a producer and exporter of sophisticated military equipment and technology, enhancing military and economic partnerships with other nations.

The “Fahd 4×4” transport is notable for its superior capabilities and adaptability in challenging terrains, offering exceptional protection and rapid mobility. The transport has been developed using the latest military technologies, positioning it as an optimal choice for military operations and peacekeeping endeavors.

According to “Army Technology,” the “Fahd 4×4” serves as a substitute for the outdated armored transport units BTR-40 and Walid that were previously utilized by the Egyptian armed forces.

It is important to note that the production of these vehicles commenced in 1985, with the inaugural batch manufactured for the Egyptian army in 1986.
