EDGE Group division, NIMR, a premier creator of combat-tested wheeled military vehicles, has revealed the introduction of the second generation of its JAIS MK2 armored vehicle in anticipation of the World Defence Show (WDS) 2024, taking place from 4 to 8 February 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This achievement marks the completion of the upgrade of NIMR’s entire range (AJBAN, HAFEET, and JAIS) to the second generation, reinforcing its dedication to providing innovative solutions that cater to shifting customer demands and enhancing its standing for market excellence.

The JAIS 4×4 is a mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle produced by NIMR, proficient in supporting traditional, contemporary, and asymmetric combat operations. The JAIS MK2 presents enhanced safeguards for vital systems and improved maneuverability within the same overall weight category. Featuring a completely new modernized electrical framework, a greater payload capacity, increased internal crew accommodation, and expanded external storage options, its design prioritizes user ergonomics. It also features a minimized thermal signature and compliance with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) standards, boosting overall effectiveness. NIMR began delivering the JAIS MK2 to clients in 2023, after successfully finalizing development, testing, and production.
