Rooted in a legacy of cutting-edge technological advancements, and in order to satisfy the continuously changing needs of the battlefield and mission requirements, FN Herstal’s Land and Sea collection now features highly adaptable systems tailored around FN® machine guns spanning from 5.56mm NATO caliber up to .50 caliber.

Land & Sea next-generation weapon systems

The FN® M3M WM (Weapon Mount) is envisioned specifically for the operation of the .50 caliber FN® M3M machine gun.

Engineered with the FN® M3M attributes including an impressive rate of fire (1,100 RPM), it delivers outstanding target precision and is the sole certified weapon mount compatible with the exceptional .50 caliber FN® M3M/GAU-21 machine gun.

The FN® M3M WM offers the operator a range of significant advantages:

  • Completely mechanical operation (no electrical power necessary)
  • Standard Mk16 MOD 8 type 0.50” large pintle interface
  • Buffered mechanism to mitigate recoil forces affecting the platform
  • 300-round ammunition box
  • Two separate firing triggers for left or right-hand operation
  • Extensive operation angles, e.g., elevation: +60°/depression: -20°
  • 3 Picatinny-style rails for optics/lasers, etc.
  • Optional front armor shield offering ballistic protection up to STANAG Level IV
  • Fully certified weapon system conforming to MIL-STD-810 standards

To furnish the user with a versatile mounting solution for a comprehensive array of light and medium machine guns, FN Herstal also presents the new FN® Light MWM (Multi Weapon Mount).

This system accommodates any FN Herstal 5.56 and 7.62 caliber machine guns in various configurations, specifically:

  • FN MAG® Infantry variant / FN MAG® 58M
  • FN® M240 Versions D, H & L
  • FN MINIMI® 7.62 (Mk3 and earlier variants) / FN® Mk48
  • FN MINIMI® 5.56 (Mk3 and earlier variants) / FN® M249

The FN® Light MWM provides the operator with the following key benefits:

  • Completely mechanical operation (no electrical power necessary)
  • Standard NATO G3 cone interface
  • Buffered system to diminish the recoil forces transmitted to the platform
  • Capability to alter weapon configuration in minutes
  • Extensive operation angles, e.g., elevation: +50° / depression: -60°
  • Lightweight: 8.5kg
  • Fully qualified weapon system adhering to MIL-STD-810 standards

  • Links & case collector (250- or 500-round capacity)
