Texelis Axles Secured for Yugoimport’s Lazar III and Milosh Vehicles at IDEX 2021
The arrangement will ensure Texelis provides driveline components for Milosh and Lazar III units to be dispatched by Yugoimport to the Serbian Army and Serbian Police in 2021.
Texelis has secured a contract with Yugoimport to deliver an appropriate quantity of axle assemblies for Milosh 4×4 armored personnel carriers and driveline systems for Lazar III 8×8 armored vehicles for the Serbian Army and Serbian Police Force.
Texelis will produce and provide T700 axle assemblies for the Milosh units. The T700 is a versatile and lightweight transmission solution engineered for vehicles with a maximum gross axle weight rating (GAWR) of up to 7000kg. This system employs proven modular subsystems from the Texelis rigid axle range, including wheel hubs and differentials; and is complemented by a Timoney double wishbone, coil spring, and damper or hydro-pneumatic strut suspension.

For the Lazar III vehicle, Texelis will produce and provide the T900 modular driveline system, which includes the T900 axle, integrated transfer case, and steering system for each unit. Engineered by Timoney for 4×4, 6×6, or 8×8 vehicles with a GAWR of up to 9000kg, the T900 is manufactured exclusively by Texelis under license.
“This new agreement reinforces our enduring relationship with Yugoimport, which dates back to 2015 and has already facilitated the equipping of vehicles for end users in Serbia and Cyprus,” stated Damien Delannoy, Sales Director of the Defense Business Unit at Texelis. “This recent order for T700 axle assemblies is the most significant the company has placed with us to date, and this marks its fourth batch order for the T900 – we are excited to witness this upward trend, and we anticipate further collaboration in the future.”
Production of the components is already in progress at Texelis’ Limoges facility, with shipments scheduled to commence in the May-June 2021 window.
