Armored Ambitions: Patria Delivers 6×6 Vehicles to Finland and Latvia
Finland, alongside Latvia and Patria, has formalized a Framework Agreement for the management of the production phase of the collaborative 6×6 armoured vehicle system. This arrangement allows the involved parties to execute joint procurement oversight, thereby attaining technical and economic advantages from the comprehensive procurement spectrum of the initiative.
Simultaneously, Latvia and Patria initiated a supply contract for more than 200 units of 6×6 armoured personnel carriers created under the collaborative development program, including their supporting and training systems. Deliveries of these vehicles are scheduled to occur between 2021 and 2029.
In a related development, Finland and Patria have signed a Letter of Intent regarding the imminent serial order from Finland.
The collaborative initiative is accessible to additional nations with the mutual agreement of the participating states. Overall, this joint vehicle system is designed to enhance mobility, cost-effectiveness, interoperability, and security of supply for the armed forces in the participating countries.
