
John Cockerill Unveils Successful Acquisition of Arquus Today!
John Cockerill today declares the successful completion of the acquisition undertaking for Arquus, the leading French provider of military vehicles, initiated last January alongside the Volvo Group.
The culmination of this transaction follows the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between France and Belgium to endorse and supervise this partnership, with both nations contributing 10% each to the equity of John Cockerill Defense.

In addition to Arquus© vehicles and Cockerill© weaponry systems, both leaders in their fields, John Cockerill Defense plans to offer integrated solutions featuring vehicles outfitted with light tank turrets to better support ground forces around the globe. The company targets an annual revenue of 1 billion euros and aims to employ 2,000 experts by 2026, establishing a worldwide footprint with significant operational headquarters in Belgium, France, Italy, India, and Saudi Arabia.
John Cockerill received counsel from Crédit Agricole CIB as the exclusive Financial Advisor for this deal, which was backed by Crédit Agricole CIB (Coordinator and Agent), BNP Paribas Fortis, and Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking.
