MBDA Unveils Cutting-Edge Missile Engineering Hub in Abu Dhabi

Founded in the UAE, the Missile Engineering Center was formally inaugurated on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, attended by His Excellency Tareq Al Hosani, Secretary General of Tawazun Council, His Excellency M. Nicolas Niemtchinow, Ambassador of France to the UAE, and M. Eric Béranger, Chief Executive Officer of MBDA.

The objective of the Missile Engineering Center is to fortify the long-term alliance between the UAE and MBDA while establishing a foundation for collaborative development of missile systems.

This partnership aims to provide missile systems that meet optimal performance standards while harnessing and enhancing the sovereign capabilities of the UAE defense sector through substantial local content.

The Missile Engineering Center in the UAE is the first of its kind for MBDA outside of Europe; it is operational with a collaborative team of engineers from Tawazun Technology Innovation and MBDA focused on the advancement of the next generation of Smart Weapons.

H.E.
