Saudi Arabia Emerges as a Global Powerhouse in Military Vehicles and Armored Forces
As per the analysis released by “Global Firepower,” the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia holds the leading position among Arab nations and ranks eighth on a global scale regarding the capability of its military and armored vehicles. Saudi Arabia has outperformed numerous regional and international powers in this domain.
Armored vehicles stand as one of the Saudi Arabian armed forces’ most significant assets, boasting an extensive fleet available for operational use.
The analysis indicates that the Saudi military possesses in excess of 85,000 armored and military vehicles, with approximately 64,000 designated for active duty or reserve units. This remarkable figure reinforces Saudi Arabia’s status as a sophisticated military power, eclipsing forces with a storied historical heritage.
Saudi Arabia’s ranking exceeds numerous regional military influencers in this vital sector. Egypt, for example, holds the tenth rank, while Iran is in thirteenth place, and Israel stands in seventeenth. Moreover, Saudi Arabia surpasses international powers, with the United Kingdom in eleventh, France in twelfth, Germany in fourteenth, and Italy in fifteenth.
The United States Army tops the list with nearly 303,000 armored and military vehicles. China follows in second place with a total of 174,000, while Russia occupies the third position with 151,000 military units. South Korea and Turkey hold the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
The military website clarifies that the classification of military vehicles includes all forms of vehicles, such as armored units, combat and assault vehicles, armored personnel carriers, rocket launchers, mortar carriers, and various types of military transportation.
It is essential to note, based on data from “Global Firepower,” that the figures do not include weaponry and military hardware still undergoing development or production, which might be on order for the approaching year.
