“Triumphant Collaboration: NEXTER, ARQUUS, and THALES Unveil the 119th Griffon Ahead of Schedule!”

NEXTER, ARQUUS, AND THALES FULFILL THEIR OBLIGATIONS AND PROVIDE THE 119TH GRIFFON SCHEDULED FOR 2021

On December 6, 2021, the GME (Groupement Momentané d’Entreprises) EBMR (engin blindé multi rôles) successfully handed over to the French Army the 119th and final GRIFFON planned for 2021. The 119 GRIFFONs underwent thorough validation processes by the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA/SQ) at the Nexter facility located in Roanne prior to their dispatch to the regiments. Consequently, the GME consortium, consisting of Nexter, Arquus, and Thales, is achieving its delivery goal for the year 2021, adhering to the original order from April 2017 and the military programming law from 2019-2025.

As a point of reference, 128 GRIFFONs were processed for evaluation in 2020, and 92 in 2019, culminating in a grand total of 339 GRIFFONs since the notification of the TC2 conditional tranche of the EBMR contract. Additionally, all variants of the troop transport model have now been authorized, specifically the FELIN, sniper section (STE), 81mm mortar (MO81), refueling (RAV), light intervention element (ELI), engineer (GEN), medium-range missile (MMP), alongside the command post vehicle (EPC) version. Nexter, Arquus, and Thales wish to emphasize the exceptional quality of the industrial collaboration among all the facilities engaged in the program and express their sincere gratitude to their teams for the efforts made in 2021. Once again, they have demonstrated unwavering dedication to executing their mission in support of the Army. The delivery of GRIFFON vehicles is set to proceed at the same robust pace in 2022.
