Oshkosh Defense Challenges JLTV Contract Award in Bid Protest

Oshkosh Defense, a fully owned branch of Oshkosh Corporation, has lodged an official bid objection with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding the U.S. Army’s recent selection concerning the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Follow-On Contract.

The independent GAO assessment of the procurement determination was initiated by Oshkosh on March 6, 2023.

“Following our participation in the government’s post-award debriefing, we hold serious concerns regarding the appraisal of the proposals under the solicitation which warrant an independent analysis,” stated Tim Bleck, Executive Vice President of Oshkosh Corporation and President of Oshkosh Defense.

“We contend that the Government’s assessment failed to adequately scrutinize the financial, technical, and manufacturing capabilities provided to identify the optimal value and lowest risk solution for delivering the JLTV.”

As the incumbent producer and original innovator of the JLTV platform, only Oshkosh’s bid capitalized on extensive JLTV expertise and established JLTV production infrastructure, while delivering top-tier enhancements to the JLTV platform.
