SISU GTP 4×4 Off-Road Vehicles Unite with Finnish Army for Tough Terrain Challenges
Oy Sisu Auto Ab has successfully dispatched the entire batch of SISU GTP 4×4 vehicles pursuant to a request from the Finnish Defence Forces in June 2020. This shipment encompasses two distinct armored vehicle variants: five-seater multipurpose vehicles and ten-seater armored personnel carriers, making them highly suitable for a variety of operational demands requiring both protection and mobility, as well as effectiveness in modern asymmetric warfare missions.
The delivery initiative was conducted in close collaboration with the Customer. Throughout the project, pre-production vehicles underwent evaluations by various military units, and user insights were gathered and integrated as enhancements in the delivered vehicles. Consequently, the vehicles are optimized to comply with rigorous user and operation-specific expectations. Furthermore, the vehicle engineering of these armored models is grounded in mass-produced truck components, which minimizes life cycle expenses and boasts a widespread support network, ensuring reliable supply and maintainability both domestically and internationally.
The SISU GTP vehicle series is modular, allowing for easy modifications tailored to varied operational roles. The vehicles share cohesive frameworks, and the mission module-type body designs are interchangeable. This genuinely modular approach facilitates the swift and cost-effective delivery of vehicles in task-specific setups.
Alongside the SISU GTP 4×4 APC and SISU GTP 4×4 GP vehicles, the delivery package also encompassed thorough operational and maintenance guidelines, in addition to spare parts kits designed for field application.
