The Rafale procurement for the Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara (Indonesian National Army Air Force) encompasses a comprehensive turnkey solution, featuring an all-inclusive package that includes aircrew training, logistical assistance for numerous Indonesian airfields, and a training facility equipped with two full-mission simulators.

The Rafale’s distinctive “omnirole” capability will equip Indonesia with a means for sovereignty and operational autonomy, bolstering its status as a significant regional force.

Indonesian industry will reap significant industrial returns, not only within the aerospace sector but also in all critical domains of collaboration involving the extensive array of dual technologies mastered by Dassault Aviation along with its industrial partners, Safran Aircraft Engines and Thales.

“It is a tremendous privilege for Dassault Aviation to witness the Rafale become part of the distinguished Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara air force, and I wish to express my gratitude to the Indonesian authorities for the confidence they have shown in us. This agreement signifies the commencement of a long-term alliance that will see Dassault Aviation swiftly enhance its footprint in the nation. It also highlights the robust connection between Indonesia and France, reinforcing the status of the world’s largest archipelago as an essential player on the global stage. I am assured that the Rafale will fulfill the operational requirements of the Indonesian Air Force, significantly supporting the defence and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia,” stated Eric Trappier during this significant moment.
