The Arab Army will organize the 13th annual global Warrior Competition from 25 to 29 August at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC), attracting extensive participation from allied nations.

A total of 33 squads representing 20 nations have enrolled for the event, with an additional 13 countries attending as observers. The competition has captured worldwide attention for its demanding challenges aimed at testing endurance, collaboration, and combat abilities, utilizing cutting-edge military missions, firearms, and contemporary facilities that emphasize special forces, counter-terrorism, and internal security operations.

This occasion is part of the Jordanian Armed Forces’ extensive training initiatives aimed at boosting the effectiveness and operational readiness of its personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared to confront future challenges and threats.

Jordan established the competition in May 2009. The Annual Warrior Competition serves as a combat-centric event that pits special operations military and police teams against one another. Teams are evaluated in activities that gauge physical fitness, marksmanship exercises, medical skills, and written assessments.

Each year, the competition is revamped to address the ever-evolving threats emanating from terrorism. Competing “Warriors” are expected to exhibit proficiency and adaptability in marksmanship, stamina, teamwork, tactics, and communication on the battlefield. They are scrutinized and judged by a panel of esteemed international experts with diverse professional military and law enforcement backgrounds. Numerous international and local teams partake each year.
