During this year’s AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition, Rheinmetall is highlighting its PATH Autonomous Kit (A-Kit) across various platforms to exhibit the system’s capability to convert any vehicle platform into an autonomous powerhouse. Attendees can view the system at the Rheinmetall booth (#1603), showcased on an M5 Ripsaw RCV outfitted with Rheinmetall’s 30mm Skyranger turret, as well as at partner booths – Tomahawk Robotics (#4049) and L3Harris Technologies (#1725) – where variations of Rheinmetall’s Mission Master unmanned ground vehicle will be presented.

The Rheinmetall PATH A-Kit is an advanced navigation system that permits complete autonomous operation of vehicles. It can be quickly incorporated into existing vehicles or the latest next-generation platforms. This kit is a fundamental component of Rheinmetall’s distinguished Mission Master lineup of autonomous vehicles and merges state-of-the-art sensors, industry-leading algorithms, and real-time data processing to enable vehicle platforms to function autonomously in diverse operating conditions. Successfully deployed and evaluated on this range of vehicles, as well as an extensive selection of additional platforms, the PATH A-Kit is a sophisticated, tested technology that distinguishes itself from competitors.

Alongside enabling totally autonomous functionalities, the PATH A-Kit software comprises wireless technology installed on a Safe Tablet. This tablet is a modular, adaptable device that facilitates remote control of any vehicle equipped with the PATH A-Kit, as illustrated on the Mission Master family of vehicles. The Safe Tablet can manage various mission module payloads (surveillance, weapons, cargo, etc.), making it the optimal portable control hub for the Mission Master series and the mission modules they transport.
