NAMI and Lockheed Martin Join Forces to Transform Additive Manufacturing!
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Sept. 11, 2025 – National Additive Manufacturing and Innovation Company (NAMI), a collaborative endeavor between Dussur and 3D Systems, along with Lockheed Martin, have reached an agreement to work together on a project aimed at qualifying and additively fabricating essential military and aerospace components within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
NAMI is set to initiate the production of additively manufactured aluminum qualification components that will undergo rigorous testing to verify compliance with industry standards. The components manufactured by NAMI are anticipated to be utilized across the global aerospace and defense sectors, thereby bolstering Lockheed Martin’s stringent supply chain framework.
“NAMI is dedicated to fostering Saudi Arabia’s industrial evolution by boosting supply chain robustness and addressing the increasing demand for additive manufacturing solutions,” stated Eng. Mohammed Swaidan, CEO of NAMI. ”As a joint initiative between 3D Systems and Dussur, we harness cutting-edge technologies and exceptional expertise in additive production to advance Saudi Vision 2030 through localization and the exchange of industrial knowledge. We take pride in our outstanding collaboration with Lockheed Martin and firmly believe that additive manufacturing will act as a critical foundation in shaping the future of industry in the Kingdom, enhancing its competitiveness on both regional and global scales.”
The localization of operations within the Kingdom aligns with the goals established in Saudi Vision 2030 to cultivate and localize military industries in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom will reap benefits from these strategies via qualitative international defense collaborations with Lockheed Martin and other leading original equipment manufacturers, aiming for mutual advantages for all parties involved.
“Lockheed Martin is devoted to endorsing the advancement of the defense sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the United States,” remarked Brig. Gen. Joseph Rank (U.S Army, Ret.), chief executive for Lockheed Martin in Saudi Arabia and Africa. “Our alliance with NAMI is a landmark achievement in our localization goals, and we are proud to unite in advancing the Kingdom’s additive manufacturing skills while promoting job creation and economic growth in both countries.”
