The flight simulator producer based in Ankara, Turkiye has supplied the fifth complete flight simulator to Turkish Airlines. The most recent unit, an Airbus A320 full flight simulator, was delivered and set up in May 2024 and is presently undergoing a site acceptance evaluation. This marks the second Airbus A320 full flight simulator HAVELSAN has provided to Turkish Airlines in 2024 and is part of the airline’s acquisition agreement for a total of eleven Airbus A320 ceo/neos and Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators and Flight Training Devices (FTDs).
During May, another full flight simulator built by HAVELSAN, operated by Turkish Airlines, received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D accreditation. “We are delighted to declare the inaugural Airbus A320 EASA full flight simulator certification of a HAVELSAN-developed device in 2024. It represents our mutual commitment with Turkish Airlines to ensure that the simulator training infrastructure adheres to global standards,” remarked Mehmet Akif Nacar, Ph.D, CEO of HAVELSAN.

In 2023, several HAVELSAN Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators obtained EASA Level D Certification, and HAVELSAN collaborated with Turkish Airlines through a training center alliance.
In 2024, HAVELSAN revealed plans to enhance activities and support for airlines and simulator training facilities, including the capacity to produce up to eight full flight simulators annually. The company aims to assist airlines in expanding their simulator training center operations through adaptable solutions.

With a 40-year presence in the simulation sector, HAVELSAN is committed to fulfilling the requirements of Flight Simulator Training Devices both locally and globally, continually providing innovative solutions to its clientele. The company is currently proactively seeking additional airline or training center operators to discuss its offerings and the distinctive advantages it can present.
