“Unlocking High-Performance Cloud Solutions: Aruba and Leonardo Join Forces for Enhanced Cybersecurity Through a Trusted Italian Supply Chain”
Aruba S.p.A., the premier Italian Cloud provider and the foremost enterprise in Italy for data center, web hosting, email, certified email (PEC) and domain registration services, alongside Leonardo, a global frontrunner in the Aerospace, Defence and Security industry, unveil a collaboration focused on promoting secure Cloud solutions, targeting the Italian and European markets.
Following their designation as “Day-1 Members” of GAIA-X, a project set up to cultivate a European Cloud, the two prominent Italian firms are intensifying their initiatives to generate projects that can ensure and enhance the sovereignty of digital information, contributing substantively to the growth of the national Cloud framework.
The forthcoming offering integrates Leonardo’s cyber security services with Aruba’s Cloud, aimed specifically at large corporations and entities, Critical National Infrastructures (CNI), Public Administration and Defence sectors.
The aim of this collaboration is to create a comprehensive Italian supply chain to deliver Cloud solutions characterized by high reliability, scalability, and performance. This will ensure robust system protection, guaranteed data sovereignty, and compliance with both the National Cyber Security Perimeter and European privacy regulations (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR). Notably, this partnership addresses precise demands for national digital sovereignty regarding private and tailor-made Cloud projects.
Specifically, Leonardo will leverage its expertise in Cyber Security services, specialized consultancy and the design and development of infrastructures to shield information and systems from cyber threats, in addition to its capability to detect incidents in real-time, manage vulnerabilities and crises, and create secure-by-design applications.
On its end, Aruba benefits from its extensive experience in the design and management of data centers and Cloud enterprise infrastructures, allowing it to offer exceptional, fully tailored solutions delivered through a network of proprietary, enterprise-grade Italian data centers, boasting ANSI/TIA 942-B Rating 4 certification for peak resilience.
This initiative will extend the array of services provided and fortify Leonardo’s position as a crucial ally for institutions and the industry in handling national critical and cyber infrastructures while reinforcing Aruba’s status as an Italian Cloud provider and preferred collaborator for IT projects centered around innovative and customized technological solutions. Likewise, the partnership will foster new business landscapes and opportunities through dedicated, highly secure and efficient solutions, specifically crafted for central PA, Government, and Defence environments.
“The partnership with Aruba significantly enhances the uniqueness of our offerings, strengthening the national supply chain dedicated to safeguarding our customers’ most sensitive data and augmenting it, thanks to the collaboration with the Leonardo Labs and the davinci-1 supercomputer, which we recently unveiled,” articulates Tommaso Profeta, Managing Director of Leonardo’s Cyber Security Division. “This partnership also aligns with the Strategic Plan, “Be Tomorrow – Leonardo 2030”, which promotes collaborations with other sectors, as well as with public institutions, a vital mechanism to provide optimal solutions for the security of individuals and communities globally, thus contributing to their sustainable advancement.”
Stefano Cecconi, CEO of Aruba, adds: “We are honored to have been selected by Leonardo as a partner for this entirely Italian initiative aimed at addressing the increasing demands of Public Administration and enterprises concerning performance, dependability, protection, and security for the systems that manage their data. Our Cloud, our Italian Data Centers, and Leonardo’s Cyber Security services offer a profoundly concrete, readily accessible solution.”
The collaboration is already operational, and numerous significant projects have been initiated, soon transitioning into development and operational phases.
